Financial support
If you’d like to support Birthright financially, you can:
- Donate online here.
- Send a check or money order made out to “Birthright of Pittsburgh” and mail it to: Birthright of Pittsburgh, 160 N. Craig Street, Suit 209, The Omega Building, Pittsburgh PA 15213.
- Donate through United Way, by requesting contributor choice number 224. You can call United Way’s customer support team at 412-456-6824 and designate you’d like to donate to Birthright of Pittsburgh.
Material support
We are especially in the need of the following items:
- Diapers sizes newborn and 1
- Giant Eagle gift cards (for food)
- Assorted boys clothes winter and summer, sizes 1-12 months
- A lot of wet wipes
- New plastic baby bottles
- New teethers
- Baby shampoo
- Baby bath towels with hoods
- Receiving blankets
- Onesies
- Sleepers – all sizes
- Winter baby hats and mittens
- First books for babies
- Outfits for boys and girls, sizes 3-12 months
You can also help by donating the following items:
- Desktop computer with Ethernet card or laptop with wireless card
- Office supplies (paper clips, staples, paper, inkjet cartridges, pens, envelopes, post-its, stamps, white out, pens, scissors, etc)
- Diapers (preemie through size 5), new diaper bags
- Infant clothing (sizes preemie-12 months), hats, booties, socks, shoes
- Safe baby blankets
- Infant fleece/snowsuits
- Baby items including lotions, diaper cream, soap, etc
- New breastfeeding supplies
- Bottle warmers
- Knit/crochet baby sweater sets, blankets, booties, hats (if homemade, please watch for a lot of fringe on them and not lap blankets meant for older adults)
- Infant toys (please make sure they are not broken or potentially dangerous to infants)
- Baby books to read to them, scrapbooks
- Baby equipment, bumper pads, car seats, sun visors, furniture
- Baby food, breastfeeding pumps, formula
- Clothing for mothers including maternity clothing
- Personal care products
- Items that are intended for older children (dolls, books, shoes, etc)
